About MAX
MAX Conflict Management was established by Mark Wingfield in 2006 as a specialist business, uniquely blending Mark's international Six Sigma (A rigorous project management methodology utilising statistics) Black Belt, Karate Black Belt, Self Defence, Judo, Kendo and Jui Jitsu martial arts experience.
MAX is based in Derby, in the East Midlands of England, but we travel to wherever we are needed. MAX provides a stimulating, enjoyable and above all, practical training experience, whether for a company, private organisation or individual. Since 2008 we have been providing our expertise and experience to families who wish to receive personal safety training and how to deal with bullies.
MAX will help you manage your conflict situations and improve your effective communication skills in a safe, enjoyable environment.
The work we do ranges from building confidence in lone workers who are exposed to confrontational or dangerous situations, to helping board directors contain disagreements, to preparing security personnel for duty - all of which could be put together as an unusual but very effective teambuilding experience.
MAX is passionate about empowering you to manage conflict situations well.
We started providing a purely corporate service, however following repeated requests have now started to offer clubs, individuals and children our specialist services which include difficult subjects such as sexual bullying as highlighted on the BBC Panorama programme in January 2009.
We consult and work with psychologists, experts in cultural integration, partners in NLP, emotional intelligence and other personnel specialists. This year has seen further staff training in new innovative psychological profiling tools and active participation at a conference to further support the protection of sexually exploited children.
We keep abreast of the latest in communications and best personnel practice through our affiliate membership of the CIPD.
We also seek out the best techniques from the world of real self defence and self protection, continually refining our experience and expertise by taking part in the courses of well respected practitioners, reviewing new progressive ideas from around the world. This year alone has seen varied additional training including Geoff Thompson's Masterclass which incorporates Judo, Brazilian Jui Jitsu and Wrestling plus separate Kubotan, Military and most importantly Fear Adrenal Stress Training from the "Fear Doctor" Bill Kipp in Germany.
